I worked for big pharma for 25 years and then worked as a private consultant to pharma companies for 14 years. I retired because my wife has Alzheimer’s dementia and was not able to live alone when I was working. During Covid we hung out together but in 2021 in the Fall, I could not leave the house unless she was asleep. I moved her into a long-term memory care facility. We made an agreement that we would look after each other and that is what I am doing. Right now, I deliver Meals on Wheels two days a week and go to the YMCA at least three days a week to exercise. It is hard to be alone so much of the time. I started doing non-therapeutic massage as a hobby and have had good comments.
